Video Tutorials and User-Guide
Click on any of the headings below to watch a tutorial video and to learn more about that particular feature.
Adding New Incidents
This tutorial helps you learn more about adding new incidents to the TISBIS system. You will be taught how to search for students and add a new incident. It also includes information on how to edit the details of an incident, add multiple students to an incident, add additional notes to an incident, create a PDF report of an incident, and send an email of an behavior incident to a parent or guardian.
Viewing Incidents
This tutorial teaches you how to view the list of behavior incidents for a particular student, and how to search and view incidents for all students in the system. It shows you how to use the filters to find incidents or groups of incidents that meet your search criteria.
Viewing and Creating Reports
This tutorial shows you how to create behavior reports for individual students and for the entire school. You can view reports that show any part of the data you want. You can find which students are involved in the most behavior incidents, where and when incidents are most frequently occurring, what type of misconduct is most common, and many other reports that will help you make data-driven decisions and interventions.
Consequences and Follow-Up
This tutorial teaches you how to use the consequence feature and its follow-up component. When behavior incidents are entered, you can enter two types of consequences. One type of consequence requires a follow-up, and so a reminder is provided when administrative users login.
Email Notifications
There are two types of email notifications in the system. First, administrators or staff can set their user accounts so that they receive an instant email notification whenever a behavior incident is entered into the system. Second, after an incident is entered, an instant email containing the incident information can be sent to a student's parent or any other stakeholder.
Student Reflection Feature
An optional feature allows for students to have limited access accounts where they can log-in and enter a "reflection" about a behavior incident. Students fill out the information about what happened and then they answer open ended questions about the incident.
Creating Classrooms & Assigning Students to Teachers
This tutorial goes over how to create new classrooms with teachers and students. Students can have a teacher or staff member associated with their account by creating a classroom or group that contains the teacher and student. The teacher associated with the student will receive notification of new consequences that require follow-up and student reflections whenever they login to their account.
Manually Adding New Users to System
This tutorial shows you how to add new students, teachers, and administrators to the system. Only administrator users have access to add other new users to the system.
Customizing Options for Incidents
This tutorial shows you how to customize the list of options whenever you add a new incident. You can customize, edit, and add your own locations, periods, rules, and consequences to the system.
Graduation of Data (End of Year)
This tutorial shows you how to use the graduation feature, which moves all students to the following grade-level. It also graduates users from the system who have completed their final year at your school.
